Qualifications:
I have a Bachelor of Education Degree and I graduated as a PE Teacher. In 2000 I completed 3 years of Shiatsu studies plus 1-year probationary. I started my studies at the London School of Shiatsu and finished the last year at the Genki school in Bedfordshire whose Principal was Sarah Wale.
Over the years, I had continuous self-development; attending classes, workshops and studying, acquiring certain skills to complement my work. Throughout lockdown and beyond, I have attended weekly zoom sessions with the Head of the European Shiatsu Federation, Chris McAlister, a Master of various arts including Shiatsu, Acupuncture and Qi Qong teacher, he is based in Sweden.
Services:
I offer Shiatsu treatments, that includes gentle assisted stretching, rotations, acupressure techniques, point work, holding etc, and Cranial/Sacral.
I teach Meridian stretches, also called DO IN or MAKA HO. Principles of Shiatsu and point location work. I also teach Qi Qong.
Something about me: I consider myself to be a fun, loving, considerate Human being and I definitely bring those qualities into my work.
In the last 3 months of my probationary course, I had the opportunity to work at the Local MS Centre where I ended up working 4 days a week for 20 years. The experience I had in my last job, has enabled me to learn a lot about people, about pathology and myself as a person and Therapist. I had to adapt to different people and organise my treatments to fit a range of different abilities and disabilities. I have stamina, I am committed, motivated and take pride in my work. Always work from a place of love and compassion using my skills to take great care of my clients.
